Instead of trying to do more things, do things more deeply.

As someone who has been involved in the self-improvement space for a few years now, I have absorbed a lot of information about how to be successful — waking up early, eating healthy, working out regularly, meditating, drinking water, the list goes on.

These are all valid pieces of advice, and sticking to healthy habits has definitely impacted my life in a positive manner.

But what happens if, after implementing all these pieces of advice — waking up at 7 am, sticking to a journaling habit, eating nutritious foods, and going to the gym 5x a week — you still feel a bit empty inside?

This is where I was about a month ago.

I was doing all the right things, but my life still didn’t feel quite right. Though it may have appeared to an outsider that I was living my best, healthiest life, I knew that something was off.

For weeks, I felt frustrated, hopeless, and unmotivated. Why, when I did everything the books and podcasts told me to, did I still feel like shit?

It turns out, I was doing all the right things, but in the wrong way.
