Everybody wants a great life. Nobody ever chooses to be mediocre.
Mediocrity is something we settle for.
There are a million ways to make life just a little better. Some of my favorite daily habits are my morning routine, staying hydrated, getting some sort of movement in, journaling, and practicing daily acts of kindness.
Recently, I stumbled across the idea of intention setting. I was aware of the importance of intention but wasn’t sure how to incorporate it into my life.
I decided to start small and experiment. Before going on a date, I told myself to be honest, connected, and laugh without restriction. This tiny mindset change led to many amazing nights.
Before taking an exam, I set the intention of focusing on what I do know, instead of what I don’t. During the exam, when I stumbled upon a question I was unsure of, I would simply skip it and answer everything that I knew for sure.
Then, I would go back to the question and apply my knowledge to it the best I could. This tactic helped me minimize the time I spent studying and agonizing over not knowing everything. I ended with straight A’s.
